In my professional life I am a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic web developer and
certified instructor, with my own limited company.

My speciality is Adobe Flash™, including ActionScript 1.0 and 2.0 and 3.0.

What is Adobe Flash?

Adobe Flash™ is the market leading software for the creation of rich media, future-proof websites - truly engaging user experiences allowing embedded video, audio and dynamic data. ActionScript is its programming language - now vast and extremely powerful, akin to Java. The Flash Player (required to view content) is the most popular browser plug-in in Internet history, already installed on over 99% of Internet enabled computers. Flash brings sites alive.

Adobe Certified Expert

I have literally thousands of hours of experience of using Flash, opening it nearly every day since 1998, and have worked for numerous digital agencies producing creative work for clients including Nokia, Shell, Hewlett Packard, Total, and 20th Century Fox. I served as a judge at the BAFTA Interactive Awards and am an Adobe Certified Expert. I am experienced and qualified in both design and programming, and I have an appreciation not only of graphical design principles but also of programmatical design patterns. I like elegant, functional design and clean, efficient code. You can see some examples of my work here and code samples upon request.

I specialise in advanced, highly usable but artistic ActionScript-driven sites (I’m not an MXML developer making utility sites). You might be a company of medium to large size, requiring advice and guidance over branding and web presence, and requiring a tight, fast-loading, eye-catching, elegant site that you can easily update and that truly stands out from the crowd. You might even be a designer with an idea of how you want things to look and function, but lacking the programming expertise to bring it all to life.

Adobe Certified Intructor

As one of only a handful of Adobe Certified Instructors in the world, I am employed by numerous Adobe Certified Training Partners within the UK - but by coming to this site you can cut out the middleman and employ me directly.

I have trained literally hundreds of people from numerous backgrounds and countries, including staff from many leading digital media companies - e.g. AKQA, Rockstar Games, Euro RSCG KLP, Feref Digital, Substance, Dare, Modem Media, Wheel, Oyster Partners & Framfab (who have now joined LBI).

My job is to make complicated concepts seem simple. I’m used to walking into unknown situations, meeting new people, assessing their level of skill and increasing it rapidly.
